![]() It certainly is not the kind of game that everyone will love. ![]() I would say that Sim City and Railroad Tycoon are the best comparisons I can give. ![]() I think that Transport Fever II is a fun game if you like sim-based games. The number of times I wasted money by accidentally clicking a bit of road somewhere I did not mean to was rather annoying. My main gripe is that the UI is a bit of a pain and rather clunky. I found that the game was quite easy to get to grips with due to that fun tutorial at the beginning of the game. There are many different scenarios in Free Mode which will keep things fresh and fun. Free Mode is great if you want to go nuts and try and build the most incredible (or in my case convoluted) transport system around. Map Editor I will admit is not for me, but those who love to get super in-depth with the city creation will really be in their element here. As an emerging transport tycoon, the player constructs stations, airports, harbors and makes money by connecting areas requiring transport services. Players start in 1850 and build up a thriving transport company. You also have two other game modes, Free Mode and Map Editor. Transport Fever is a railroad-focused tycoon game. ![]() My PC did chug along as the cities become more and more populated, but I am sure there is a patch incoming to fix this, even then it is not game-breaking or anything like that. The presentation is great and I like how there is a little bit of story with voice acting that moves you along from era to era. ![]()
